About Stephen Pugh

Stephen has over 40 years of Combined Public Service and International Private Sector Consulting Experience.

My career started in the public service where I spent 21+ years in various senior and executive management roles that included resolving various conflicts involving provincial and federal governments, oil and gas companies, freehold mineral owners, Indigenous communities, energy regulators and Commissions, and disputes among public interest groups.

I left the public service arena and went private creating SFP Consulting Inc. where I spent another 21+ years as an international energy consultant specializing in oil, gas and pipeline regulatory applications, appeals, and compliance prevention. My consultancy also included resolving business and personal conflicts, and advancing various injustices (personal, community and organizational) to successful conclusions.

I launched U2D (Upside to Down Conflict Resolution Services) in 2020 to solely focus on resolving conflict, which I continue to be very passionate about.
